Until now, I have been making large jug forms using a loose interpretation of the elements; the body, the handle and snib, in such a way as to break down the boundaries between design, craft and art. My current work is a development of these forms and has evolved over the last while. I have always used sketchbooks to help me nudge my work along, but lately I have been reacting more in the clay stage, allowing actions to guide, and to be guided by what is happening on the bench.
